I am extremely pleased to announce that 5 abstracts submitted to the NAEMSP (National Association of EMS Physicians) annual conference have been accepted for presentation! The conference will be January 12-14th in Tucson, Arizona.
Dr. Matt Davis (PGY-5) has been invited to present the results of his study entitled "A prospective evaluation of the utility of the pre-hospital 12-lead electrocardiogram to change the management of patients in the emergency department ." Please join me in congratulating Matt along with Dr. Adam Dukelow and Dr. Mike Lewell who were the senior lead investigators of this study.
Matt will also be presenting another poster entitled "Proportion of emergency department medical records containing the electronic pre-hospital care record (ePCR) after the implementation ePCR 'pull' system" that he co-authored with Dr. Mike Levy from Anchorage, Alaska.
Dr. Sameer Mal (PGY-4) has been invited to present the results of his study entitled "The Impact of Autopulse on the rate of return of spontaneous circulation in out of hospital cardiac arrest in Oxford County." Please join me in congratulating Sameer along with Dr. Mike Lewell and Dr. Adam Dukelow who were the senior lead investigators on this study.
Sameer is also a co-author on another SWORBH abstract which will be presented at NAEMSP entitled "Frequency and description of documentation error types by electronic vs paper ambulance call reports." Dr. Kate Hayman (PGY-2) has been invited to present the results of her preliminary study entitled "Can paramedics safely transport patients with ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) directly to a PCI-capable centre?"
