EMLondon's Dr. Tarek Loubani has been shot while treating fellow palestinians who were injured during another Isreali strike in Gaza. Multiple demonstrations were held across the region to protest the opening of the US embassy in Jerusalem.  At least 55 palestinans were killed by Isreali troops today, the largest number of casualties Gaza has seen since 2014.  Dr. Loubani leads the Glia project, an open source project to produce 3D printed medical hardware. He is currently in Gaza doing implemenatation and testing of the hardware. Dr. Loubani was attending to multiple victims of the Isreali fire at the border when he was shot in the leg and is now recovering in hospital. Sadly, the paramedic was who responsible for saving him, Musa Abuhassanin, was; later killed by an Isreali sniper while attending to another victim back at the border protest.  You can read Dr. Loubani's full personal account of the events here.
