Dr. Dreyer is both a faculty member and the Research Director for the Division of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Dreyer leads monthly research meetings and advises staff and residents on how to best complete clinical studies.

Kristine has a Masters in Epidemiology and Biostatics from Western University and mainly works with CCFP-EM residents and staff projects.

Melanie has a PhD in Biological Sciences from Western University and mainly works with FRCPC residents and staff projects. Melanie is currently on maternity leave and will return June 2019.

Research Assistant

Dimah is a full-time Research Assistant with the Division of Emergency Medicine. Dimah enthusiastically works on the Hyperglycemia and CHF projects which recruit patients through the emergency department.

Dr. Matthew Davis

Clinician

As the regional medical director for Southwest Ontario Regional Base Hospital Program Dr. Davis’ is involved in a number of research projects but his main focus is pre-hospital emergency care. Please see the “Current Projects” tab for Dr. Davis’ ongoing studies.

Dr. Tarek Loubani

Clinician

Dr. Loubani practices emergency medicine in the Gaza strip as well as LHSC. His main research interests include global health and the creation of open-source, high-quality, low cost medical devices. Dr. Loubani holds a large Shuttleworth grant to help him achieve him goals. Please see the “Current Projects” tab for Dr. Loubani’s ongoing projects.

Dr. Naveen Poonai

Clinician

Dr. Naveen Poonai holds a number of large research grants to support his research interests of acute paediatric pain and procedural sedation. He is an Associate Scientist at the Child Health Research Institute and serves as the Research Director of the Division of Paediatric Emergency Medicine.
